Hiring starts with being Human. Organizations of all sizes and types have long realized that diversity means good business. Embracing a multiplicity of viewpoints and cultures drives innovation, improves decision-making, increases employee productivity and retention, and leads to better-served customers and innovative products. However, diversity is also something that can be tough to implement, and the recruitment stage plays a crucial role in applying diversity strategies and corporate culture. Bias can thwart diversity at every step of the hiring process, from recruiting, screening and interviewing to assessment and onboarding, but there are tactics that can help increase equal opportunity at each stage. In this workshop, Hiring Humans and Innovazing will train recruiters on innovative emotional intelligence tools so that they can attract highly qualified and diverse candidates, thus contributing to increasing diversity and innovation within the organization as a whole.
